I'm a member of the Churh of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I am a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing the piano, organ, guitar, string bass, and sing. I also love to play sports, read, go camping, and hang out with my family. I am an Eagle scout of the organization Boy Scouts of America, and I have participated in Utah's State solo and ensemble music festival, with a Superior I rating on the string bass. I also love being a member of this church.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a mormon? I have been raised in the gospel since my birth, and being in Utah, I associated with many people of the LDS chruch. These things heavily contributed to my activity in the church, but the reason I am a Mormon is because I know that the chruch is true. This knowledge did not come from an amazing spiritual manifestation, but just simple little confirmations from living life day by day. Looking back on my life, I can see how the church was a key foundation to who I am, and it is what has kept me going through life, espeicially the hard times. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ, in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross, is real and is for both you and me. Through the Atonement we not only find a remission of sins as I have found to be true, but also peace and comfort in times that are difficult, because he walked the paths that we have and willl walk while he suffered through the Atonement. Because He suffered for us, you and I have reason to rejoice and have hope in this life, as well as the life to come. Becuase of this and many other reasons, I am honored to be a Mormon.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Prayer plays a vital part in my life. I have received countless numbers of answers to questions I have had. Prayer is a sure way to know that there is someone that I can always talk to, and someone who will always hear me and understand perfectly. Who better to talk to than someone who knows you perfectly, such as your needs, concerns, joys, likes, and all that makes you "you"? That is what prayer is. Because of this, I hvae used prayer a million times and every time I pray, I receive the help I need in the time I need it. Prayer is amazing!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my ward. I also serve by being involved in my community. I have done this by playing in a local community symphony, playing the piano at an old folk's home, and organizing a humanitarian effort of hygeine kits and medical supplies for an orphanage in Nigeria, Africa. This is how I give back to my church and my community.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Because they know for themselves me included that the church is true, and they want to share the sweet message of the gospel with the world. They know how it has truly impacted their lives, and they want the same goodness for all of God's children.

Our decision to serve missions is motivated by our belief in the Gospel and our desire to fulfill the Savior's command to "preach the gospel to every creature" Mark 16:15. The Gospel teaches us that we are all sons and daughters of God, and so we feel a kinship with all of God's children and a desire to help them enjoy the peace in this life that the Gospel provides.Our missionaries are not salesman and won't take much of your time, but I know that your decision to invite them into your home will change your life for good!

What do Mormons believe about family?

The family is a key component to support us in God's plan for gaining immortality and eternal life. All of God's children (all the inhabitants that lived, are living, and will live on Earth) are inseperably connected to each other, both (physically) by our Earthly families and (spiritually) by our Heavenly Father.

Families help us to understand our divine heritage. In this, life takes on purpose and meaning. Our immortal spirits were created by our Heavenly Father before Earthly existance, and we are directly connected to Him in this way. As a spiritual family, our collective purpose on Earth is to follow the commandments of God that lead us to live in heaven with Him again.

Our spirits need to progress, learn, and grow. In order to achieve that, Earthly existance was created as our test. Our Heavenly Father knew that being exposed to opposing forces on Earth was the only way for us to gain knowledge and wisdom.

However, we will not always choose righteousness, and so our Savior, Jesus Christ, is that great mediator to pay the debt of our mistakes. He is the only way by which we can be saved from our sins and transgressions. He is the ultimate example by which direction we need to live our lives. With the support of our earthly kin, we can learn from each other, serve each other, and strengthen our mortal weaknesses by being disciples of Christ. Our families are a gift from God, and we can be together forever.
