David: Mormon.

Hi, I'm David

I was raised in Washington State. I serve in my County Government. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an engineer, a community volunteer, husband and father of five children. I have been married to the love of my life for over 23 years. I enjoy the out of doors and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a line of ancestors that go back to the founding of the Church. However, I made the decision on my own to maintain my membership in the Church and abide by its teachings. I have a wonderful family with a beautiful wife, accomplished children who are making good choices in life, an education, developed talents and a desire to serve my fellow man. I attribute these blessings in my life to my Mormon lifestyle and adherence to the teachings and morals of the Church.

Personal Stories

Can you think of a specific challenge in your family that Gospel Principles helped overcome?

Early in our marriage we suffered the death of our oldest child at a mere three weeks of age. While the loss seemed devastating at the time, through prayer and meditation we were able to find peace. Because of our knowledge of the Plan of Salvation, we know that we will see our son again and be together as a family. Over the past 22 years since he passed away, we have felt a closeness with him as we have lived the principles of the Gospel.

How I live my faith

LIving my faith is far more than attending a weekly church service. I volunteer in my community. I enjoy the friendship of all my neighbors. I participate in church and community based service projects. I feel that the value of my life is the positive impact that I leave on my family, community and the world.
