Hi, I'm Pam
I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm a mom, a nana, a sister and an aunt. I'm an avid reader and have have had many interests over the years. the ones that have lasted are: keeping dogs of all kinds I once had a pet wolf and received a proposal of marriage because of it, genealogy, an interest I developed as a child, travel, cooking, quilting, knitting, and as you may have guessed, family is important to me.
Why I am a Mormon
When I was very young, someone taught me to walk as a companion of Jehovah. I come from a difficult family and walking as a companion of Jehovah makes me feel safe. Applying the teachings of the Gospel help me do that.
Personal Stories
Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?
Prayer helps you develop a "oneness" with God. I developed an attitude of prayer early in life. For me that meant remembering that God is constantly watching over us and hears every prayer. i learned to keep a constant prayer in my heart and the back of my mind at all times, all situations and all places. You can talk to God about anything, you really can. and if you listen many times you get an answer.
How does making right choices help us make more right choices?
Real intelligence is God given. Our Heavenly Father blessed each and everyone of us with a particular amount of intelligence. If we use it to make right choices and He increases our intelligence and we get more choices. In this way we learn and become more like Him. If we make wrong choices and don't repent our intelligence declines. I've felt my own intelligence increase because I applied the Gospel and made right choices, I've seen others grow as well. Unfortunately, I've seen some acquaintances decline in intelligence as well.
How I live my faith
I've held many positions in the church over the years. I've taught, learned and grown from all of them. We have a saying in this Church, "The Lord doesn't call people who are qualified, he qualifies those He calls".
