Natalie: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Natalie

I'm a photographer, a midnight-snacker, an aspiring lawyer, a lover of snow. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Natalie, and I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am a recent college graduate with an acute obsession with mathematics and statistics, yet somehow embarking on a law career. I am an advocate of Crayola crayons. I am a lover of all things spontaneous.

Why I am a Mormon

Long story short I have not always been "a Mormon". In fact, there were times in which I doubted the existence of an eternal divinity, altogether. Religion wasn't a priority in my life. I told myself I didn't need God. I tried to do it myself. I was prideful and my lone endeavors failed. I am now a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This change of hear came having received a confirmation from God that this is His true church, which has been restored upon the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. People can disagree, people can argue - they have, they do, and they will - but those people are entitled to asking the same God, in the same manner, receiving the same answer as I have. Plain and simple.

Personal Stories

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

My favorite thing about the church is knowing that God has a plan for me. And for you. Each one of us are seen equally in His eyes, and thus each one of us have paths we can, if we so choose, follow that will draw us nearer to Him. The Plan of Salvation has helped me keep an eternal perspective on life, reminding me that our time on Earth is short, compared to the eternity we can spend in His kingdom : This has helped me sacrifice my own desires to serve the desires of God, as dictated through the scriptures, prophets, and personal revelation through prayer.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Growing up, I always thought prayer was something that had to be rehearsed. Or formal. And I was shocked to find out that prayer is literal two-way communication between you and your Father in Heaven. I always envisioned it as a one-way dialogue. But I now know that is not the case. Prayer enables us to converse with God literally. We can receive answers to questions, confirmation of truths, and guidance in what we should be doing in our lives. Prayer is therefore a huge part in my life. I consult my Heavenly Father regarding all big decisions in my life. I testify that He does hear, and He does answer!

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a ward missionary, and teach Sunday School to new members of the church :
