Hi, I'm Jon
I grew up on Native American Reservations. I teach High School Math. I am a Mormon.
About Me
I love to help others and provide service. I felt the best way to do that would be as a teacher. My time is mostly spent contemplating how I can best help my students. I have a strong interest in missionary work and seek for opportunities to share my testimony at church, to my neighbors, and others.
Why I am a Mormon
There are many reasons I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I felt a strong positive energy, what must be the Spirit, immediately after being baptized. I have received blessings of healing fulfilled as a youth. I feel the Spirit whenever I enter one of its chapels or dedicated buildings and spend much time there often in the empty rooms, feeling the Spirit, thanking Him for his many blessings and expressing the righteous desires of my heart through prayer. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and the Book of Mormon is true, the Spirit whispers this to me and tells me it is true.
How I live my faith
My faith is the driving force in all that I do and say. I live my faith by striving to follow God's counsel. I listen to His counsel through living prophets, scriptures, and other means. For example, I love to go to the temple to listen and obey.
I am so thankful to be able to teach the 8-11 year old youth at my Church and faithfully strive to provide positive learning experiences for them.
