Katey: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Katey

I'm a fitness instructor, wannabe athlete, a mom and a work in progress. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I live with our little girl in California. He is the love of my life and beyond. We are both nerds and dabble in various hobbies. We love to be active and we love to try new things. Above all, we like to try new foods and spices. That's one of the many reasons why I teach fitness classes. We love food!

Since we've been married, we have met several challenges together. These challenges have taught us to unite ourselves in our marriage and in faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always known that this is the True Church. But, like everyone, I struggle. Life is not meant to be without hardship. Whether I was met by illness, loss, disappointment or consequences of bad choices, I felt encouraged to draw near to my Heavenly Father through the scriptures or the words of the Prophet. These words help me. They guide me. And through them, God makes me better.

Personal Stories

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

Believe it or not, I'm a very shy person. That being said, I'm also very musically talented. I've always had a hard time sharing my talents. After many years, I realized that my talents are gifts from God and I should share them. I can't say that this is the end of the story because I'm constantly working on it. But when I remember that God has given me abilities, it makes it easier for me to share them.

How I live my faith

I look for ways to serve people around me. Those people include my family. Serving others helps me be unselfish. It brings me closer to my God.

I've also become less shy in telling people that I am a Mormon. My friends remember my standards and I hope that I can serve as a good example.
