I'm a chiropractic student and I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I'm currently a graduate student working on my doctorate in chiropractic. With my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and enjoying the outdoors. I enjoying wood working and doing little projects around the house.

Why I am a Mormon

I've had so many little, and some big, experiences in my life that have convinced me that this is the only church that has all the truth. The book of Mormon is an excellent addition to truth and testifies that Jesus is the Savior of the world, and only in and through Him can we be pure, happy, and gain salvation. It also has the real priesthood authority, given from Peter, James, and John to Joseph Smith, to preform and teach the necessary ordinances, so that salvation can be achieved. In this, Christ's church, it provides an environment where true Christianity can be practiced. By that I mean, that there are programs and through callings, each member has an opportunity to serve others on a weekly basis. All of which is volunteer and charity driven.

What have you done successfully to shield your family from unwanted influences?

We have found great protection for evil influences in our life by reading scriptures and praying daily as a family before we go to bed. We know the Lord loves us and has watched over and protected us for unwanted influences.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church weekly, frequently reading the scriptures, preforming acts of service, following the promptings of the holy ghost, and help the Lord through missionary work to establish His kingdom here upon the earth.

What is faith?

In the bible we learn that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Which means faith is having assurance of things you want or need and proof that it will happen if all prerequisites are met. for example, we go to work everyday hoping that we will receive a paycheck cause we have proof that it has happened in the past. We plant gardens in the hope that it will produce fruits and vegetables, but we have to water it and preform the other tasks associated with gardening. We do this because we have either seen, heard about, or we have gardened for ourselves and know that plants will grow if conditions are right. Faith must be centered in Jesus Christ and on correct principles found in the scriptures and through revelation. We must gain assurance and evidence about the task that will be attempted, to motivate us to action. The combination of believing, evidence, action, the will of the Lord, and Christ's help, we can accomplish righteous desires.

It's another word for commitment. When assessing one's own faithfulness, it may be easier to ask, "How committed are you?"

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Husband and wife in a marriage are meant to be equal, partners. The husband is the head of the household and is responsible for the temporal welfare of his family. His role is to support his wife. The wife is also to support her husband and to nurture her family both spiritually and emotionally. Husband and wife are meant to work side by side in providing a safe haven from the world for their family. Their roles are different, but equally important and essential to building the family and the community.
