Paul: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Paul

My family and I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to ski, beach, and rock climb. I like tennis and soccer and biking, hiking and camping. I am a structural engineer. I am a husband to the most beautiful girl in the world, and we have four children and one on the way.

Why I am a Mormon

Living the gospel makes me so happy. I believe it would make anyone happy. I've felt the Holy Ghost bring peace to my life. I love the Lord, and I want to serve Him as best I can.

Personal Stories

Can you think of a specific challenge in your family that Gospel Principles helped overcome?

My father-in-law recently died of cancer. We were given some advance warning, and were all able to spend some time with him before he passed away. He was concerned of his worth—his standing to receive the tender mercies of the Lord. But he had no doubt that he would live again. He knew where he was going and that we would be able to see each other again. We had a period of weeks where he improved and my wife came back to our house. She said, I'm leaving because I know you'll be here when I get back. He said, “Well, if I'm not, I'll see you later.” As we gathered at the funeral after he passed away, I had the distinct impression that, while his body was no longer alive, his spirit was alive and active. He had not yet been resurrected, but his spirit was alive.

I know that we will all be resurrected-that our bodies and spirits will be reunited after we die, and that it is possible for us to see our loved ones again.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in our congregation. Today we spent time with the 14 and 15 year old boys, talking about charity. Imagine that! Freshmen in high school learning about the pure love of Christ!
