Hi, I'm Annette
I'm a Mormon. I'm a dancer. I am happily married & I love life. I love the Lord, my family, swimming, dancing,& reading!
About Me
I was born in St. Louis, Missouri. I have a background in dance (ballet, jazz, hip hop), swimming, and skiing. I love being active and staying fit and healthy. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Nutritional Science in 2008. I served an LDS mission to Germany and Austria from 2006-2007 and loved it! I love speaking German and I love the gospel. I recently completed my Master's Degree in Exercise Sciences. I am a health coach for an insurance company, a health blogger, and fitness professional and fitness instructor.
I am married (our wedding was in the St. Louis, LDS temple) and I adore my husband. I am an upbeat, talkative, and happy person. I enjoy fitness, nature, the beach, good books, and being with my husband and family. I especially love going to church and the temple with my incredible husband!
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because I love the Lord, I love my Heavenly Father, and I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the one and only true church on the earth. I have studied this faith since my baptism at age 8. I love reading the Book of Mormon, I love attending the temple, and I live for my daily prayers. I am SO grateful for the gospel and that I have the truth because it centers me and gives me a greater perspective on life. Jesus Christ is my (and our) Savior and I devote my life to Him and His teachings. The way to happiness is to live by His teachings and to be a faithful member in His true church. I know this because I live it :) I am happy because I realize I am a daughter of God and as such, do not want to expose my sensitive spirit to unhealthy, dangerous, or evil things/products/culture. I love my life and I love sharing what I believe with others, so they too can have and enjoy this lasting happiness and joy.
Personal Stories
Why do Mormons go on missions?
We who serve missions have decided that our love for the Lord is so great that we want to go and share that love and personal testimony with others, so they too can enjoy those blessings. I decided to serve a mission because I know that Jesus Christ lives, that He is my Savior, and I wanted others to know that I KNOW. My mission strengthened me and my personal devotion to the Savior because as I became more converted to the Lord, so then did others. It is a beautiful thing to watch others come to know the truth, just as I have.
How I live my faith
I live my faith by studying the scriptures daily. I also pray very often because I NEED my Heavenly Father's help. He listens to me and He guides and helps me. I also know that I can not do anything on my own without the Savior's help and His saving Atonement. I know He lives and that He will come again. I also worship every Sunday at church and attend the temple at least twice monthly to remind me of the sacred covenants I have made with my Father in Heaven. I also study scriptures and pray with my husband-this very act fortifies our marriage and draws us closer together. It has been a huge blessing, being married and sealed for time and all eternity in a sacred temple of God. I am so grateful that I can live each day and strive to make my Father in Heaven pleased with the way I conduct and live my life.
