Jasmin: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Jasmin

I grew up in Germany. I went on a student exchange in High School & lived with Mormons. After that I decided to become a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Germany and my family is Lutheran. After learning about the Church of Jesus Christ in the States during an exchange program with my high school I got interested in learning more about Mormons and started talking to the missionaries back home. I moved to the United States when I was 20 to go to College - two years after my baptism.

Why I am a Mormon

I decided to get baptized as a Mormon because I felt like it was the right thing to do and that I would be happier in my life. I remember talking to the missionaries about why I am on this earth, where I would go after I die and that I would be with my family forever. It felt like I already knew most of the things and was just reminded - it all made perfectly sense! The so called plan of salvation or plan of happiness gives me a better perspective and understanding of life. I am so much happier now!

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday for about 3 hours, which include Sacrament Meeting, Sunday School, and Relief Society women's meeting. It's always fun and I learn something new. My husband and I usually pray to give thanks before eating a meal, when we start the day and before we go to bed. We also read in the Bible or Book of Mormon sometime during the day to learn and understand the scriptures better. The church has many service projects, youth activities, and social events which we attend regularly. In general, I'd say I live a very ordinary life and do ordinary things, but I always try to include Heavenly Father in my daily decisions.
