Hi, I'm Meredith
I'm a wife. I'm a stay at home mother. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I have a husband who is my best friend. I have a daughter who is three years old. I enjoy crocheting, singing, cooking, and baking. I love movies and board games. I am allergic to gluten (a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye).
I grew up around members of the Church. I knew they were good Christians, and that I respected their faith in God. When I was 22, I decided to find out what the teachings of the Church were all about. A friend who had already served a mission (2 years serving people in a different part of the world than where you live already) told me that if I wanted to read the Book of Mormon, I should start on the first page. So I read Joseph Smith's testimony of the Book of Mormon. I felt the Spirit like an overwhelming feeling of joy spreading from my heart. I continued to read, but knew I wanted to be baptized. I asked the Missionaries in the ward near me to teach me to Gospel so that I could become a member.
It's been almost 5 years, and that was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I've had some hard trials. The Lord spares no man from the trials of this life; however, I know that the Lord loves me. He knows me personally, and I spend each day trying to know Him better.
Why I am a Mormon
I joined the church in 2007. I find joy and comfort in the teachings of the prophets and the scriptures. They are never in disharmony with one another. The whisperings of the Spirit lead me to read, study, learn, and pray. The Savior's love for us helps me through every trial I face.
Personal Stories
How can your talents and gifts bless others?
One of my talents is singing. I sometimes sing during our worship service on Sunday to provide beautiful music to help others feel the Spirit and love of our Father in Heaven.
What has helped develop greater harmony in your home?
Reading the scriptures together. We talk about what we think the verses we've read mean, and how we can apply them to our lives.
Could you talk about your baptism?
I was baptized at the age of 22. My best friend at the time, who held the Priesthood, baptized me, while the missionaries who taught me were the official witnesses to my baptism. I could not stop smiling the whole night because I was just so
How I live my faith
I am active in my church family by attending events and regular meetings. I also read my scriptures and pray daily. My family holds a Family Home Evening once a week where we discuss Heavenly Father's love for us and the principles of the Gospel, then we play together as a family (usually an easy game for our toddler to play). I take every opportunity I can to teach my daughter love her Heavenly Father and love for her family here on Earth.

Joseph Smith
As is the case throughout history God has communicated to His children through prophets. God used a humble man as a prophet to restore His Church on earth who ultimately died defending His faith.
