Fabiane: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Fabiane

I grew up in Brazil, came to America to pursue the American dream. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in a very poor family in Brazil. Growing up I kept promising myself that I would overcome poverty and make something good of my life. I wanted to show myself and my siblings that dreams do come true, and with Heavenly Father's blessing we can overcome trials, opposition, sorrow and stand up as children of God. During my teens I worked hard and saved money to come to college in America. Today, I am blessed with a wonderful marriage. My husband is a remarkable man, I learn from him everyday . I am a stay-at-home mom, and that is the most rewarding position I've ever had.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents found the church when I was 5 years old. Naturally, I got baptized at 8. Our family was so blessed. We did not have much, but we had love in our home. Love for one another and we felt the love of Heavenly Father for us. We walked with confidence and faith knowing who we were and of whom we were. My testimony of the gospel grew stronger everyday, as I read the book of Mormon. I too have prayed to know if it was true, I know it is, my soul is full. The LDS church helps me understand that my life has purpose and direction.

Personal Stories

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

We believe that we can talk directly with our heavenly Father and that He does answer our prayers. We all need direction. Prayer has helped so many times to understand the will of my God to me. He has guided, comforted, taught and inspired me through prayer. Every time I bend my knees in sincere prayer, I know that I am being heard. I feel the love of my Father in heaven. I understand that I am His daughter and that whatever my feelings or concerns are it matters to Him.

How I live my faith

In the Church I have the opportunity to teach once a month. I teach the women of the church, the teachings of our modern prophets. It is a wonderful opportunity for me, to learn from my sisters about how the gospel has blessed their lives, and strengthen each others testimonies. I also have the opportunity to visit with them and offer help whenever and however it is needed.
