I come form a small town in Utah where I have come to love the outdoors and the mountains and also come to enjoy hard work. I am currently serving as a full time missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

Because of the joy that the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus christ brings into our lives as we live it.

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

The Book of Mormon has helped me to truley come to a more personal knowlege of who Jesus Christ is and what he has done for me. Through the Book of Mormon I have gained a testimony of the fullness of hte Gospel of Jesus Christ as it has been restored and that has helped me to come closer to God more then any thing else.

How I live my faith

By spending two years of my life to serve the Lord as a full time missionary.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Throughout the Bible and Book of Mormon we are told that we should pray to God for understanding(James 1:5) In the Book of Mormon the Prophet Moroni teaches us that we must first read then pray to know the truth of the book of mormon( Moroni 10: 3-5). This is the way that we can know the truth of not jsut the book of Mormon but also come to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Lattler Day Saints is true. The way is to first seek or learn then ask God if it is true.

One of the best things in life is that we can freely communicate with God; our Heavenly Father. Because He loves us so much, He has blessed us with the precious gift of prayer. Through prayer we are able to counsel with Him and whatever we ask sincerely, He will make it known unto us. The scriptures can give you a surety of this. In Matthew 7:7 it says, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Another example is in the book of James 1:5-6, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed."

If you would like to know that what you have heard is true after learning or taking the discussions from the missionaries or any member that has shared a message with you, go to Heavenly Father in prayer and ask Him. I know that He will send His spirit to testify the truth of it unto you. His spirit will give you feelings of peace, hope, comfort and happiness.

Sometimes we do not get answers to our prayers as soon as we may want them to come but never should we lose hope nor get discouraged; as you continue to earnestly study and search for the truth and exercise patience, the truth will gradually be unfolded unto you. I have a testimony of this, for my answer came as I earnestly and patiently continued to investigate the church.

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Since I do not think legislation will ever be enacted against it, we will have to stop it one person at a time. I think the key to this is placing the proper barriers between your life and the damning influence of pornography. That means staying away from unwholesome places, and putting the proper protections on your electronic devices. It also means controlling your thoughts.
