Chad: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Chad

I'm from California. I'm a daddy and a husband. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a proud father of two beautiful little kids. I love to read, watch movies, play games with my little fam, and participate in fun and unique sports (windsurfing, badminton, unicycling, etc.). My favorite part of every day is when I walk in the door after a long, hard day at work and get to spend time with my wonderful wife and my cute little kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that Jesus is the Christ and that He knows and loves me as an individual. He established His church during His life with apostles and prophets who had the authority to teach and administer in His name. Although that original church and authority were lost for a long time, it has been restored to the earth in our day, and this is indeed that church. It is through that restored authority that I was able to be sealed to my wife and children for eternity, which is one of my favorite parts of the Gospel of Jesus Christ--that I can be with them forever.

Personal Stories

What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?

I love spending time with my family. We like to go to the park, play games or watch movies together, or even just sit down and talk with each other. Each week, we set aside one night (usually Mondays) to have a special lesson about the Gospel, sing songs, play games, and have treats. My family always did this growing up, and it's a tradition that I plan on keeping now with my family. We make it a point to sit down each night and eat dinner together, giving us time to chat about the day and enjoy each other's company. We also like to have family prayer and scripture study just before bedtime. Even though my two kids are still very young, I am starting to see the effects of our efforts as our oldest is learning to talk and his personality is developing. He's starting to say his own prayers (with a little help from mom or dad), he loves pointing to pictures of Christ and shouting "Jesus!", and he is very loving toward his new baby sister (well, most of the time).

How I live my faith

I teach a class of six-year-old children every week. It's fun to see them participate in my lessons and get excited about learning the Gospel... I believe that with a little effort and creativity you can teach kids about anything and make it fun for them.
