Cameron : Mormon.

Hi, I'm Cameron

I love hunting, fishing, riding my dirt bike, and just enjoying Gods beautiful creations and I'm proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy pretty much every sport on the planet mostly basketball and football, and riding my dirt bike KX 250F, and goin duck huntin, or any huntin for that matter, and basically just chillin.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but there came a time in my life where I wanted to know if going on a mission was the right thing to do. Throughout my life I thought a mission would just get in the way of what I wanted to do, but I decided to pray one night and ask if going on a mission was the right thing to do, and I got an answer that I couldn't argue with, and since I got that answer I also knew that the things I was going to be teaching were true, like the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith and so on.
I definitely believe in the power of prayer and that God hears and answers them when it is most beneficial for us for and I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ once again established on the earth.

Personal Stories

Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?

Most of the time its hard to share the gospel with your friends, because you don't want to lose a friend. I would say its easiest to share the gospel by showing your example, they will see the peace and happiness that you have in your life.
With that it will be easier to have a gospel conversation.

Could you talk about your baptism?

Personally I dont remember a whole lot about my baptism, but one thing I do remember is being very happy that day, and I dont have to remember it to know that I did a good thing. I have seen so much good come into my life as well as my families lives for making the decision to follow the example of Jesus Christ by being baptized by someone holding the priesthood authority of God.

Can you think of a specific challenge in your family that Gospel Principles helped overcome?

The death of my father was very tough for my family and I, but I know that through the plan of salvation that death is not the end, and that through priesthood authority we will see our loved ones again and be able to live with them and with God in a state of never ending happiness.

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

Just by reading about God and Jesus Christ, you feel closer to them, and when you follow the counsel given by them and by prophets you know you are closer to them. That is exactly what the Book of Mormon does for us.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Prayer is a huge part of my life. It gives us the opportunity to talk with God our Father in Heaven and thank him for all that he's given us, ask him for things we really need and to ask him for forgiveness of our sins.
prayer has played its most influential part in my life when I'm going through hard times, and through Gods comforting spirit, I have know that everything is going to be alright in the en.

What is hope and what do you hope for?

Hope is what leads me to action.
I Hope I can be a good man, brother, son, father, and husband.
I hope in a better world. I hope to be able to look into the Saviors eyes someday and know that I did my best.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Why do you share a recipe for a delicious cake?
Because it's good, and you want other people to enjoy what has brought you joy and happiness in your life.

How has The Book of Mormon helped you understand the purpose of life?

32 For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors.(Alma 34:32)

Thats what the Book of Mormon says the purpose of life is and it seems pretty clear to me on what whe need to do. Whatever we can do to prepare to meet God will be for our benefit.

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

My father died on August 25, 2001 and because of my knowledge of the plan of happiness I know that I will see my father again. I know that death is not the end its just a new chapter.

Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you?

I would say just the love and charity he had for everyone, I try to be the most charitable and loving person I can be.

How I live my faith

My purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.
