Conner: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Conner

I'm a father, fly fisherman, outdoor enthusiast, sports fanatic, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. I grew up in a very small town in Utah and grew up mainly with my family and extended family. I was always outside and grew to love the sport of fly fishing. I also enjoy camping and exploring. I really enjoy sports and have been involved in them ever since I was old enough to hold a baseball bat and throw a ball. Sports and the outdoors give me the opportunity to be competitive and stay physically fit, but also give me the chance to get to know a wide variety of people and also enjoy this beautiful world that we have to live in.
My biggest joy in life however is my family. I am a father of a young family and my biggest joy in this life is watching my family grow around me and do the things that I love to do with them. I believe that the family is one of the greatest gifts that we have, and that it is the most important responsibility that we have been given. Within the family one can find true joy and also learn how to become the person that we are supposed to be.
My wife also calls me a "nerd" as I love to learn and figure things out. I am an engineer and enjoy challenging myself and finding solutions to problems. I love to learn.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church with a great heritage of members on both my mothers and fathers side of the family. Having this great influence instilled in me a great belief in our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. As a teenager my beliefs were constantly challenged by friends and I had to decide early on in life if I was going to follow the ways of the world or the ways of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was not always an easy decision, but it is a decision that I will never regret as I choose to live according to my knowledge of God. This decision allows me to enjoy true and lasting happiness in my life .

How I live my faith

I love to serve people. Helping neighbors and friends is a way of life that I grew up with and was taught by my family. It allows us to help lift burdens and also get to know our fellow men. I try to be a living example of my testimony and believe in God. I enjoy getting to know people and working with people, and I strive to always let my beliefs dictate my actions. Knowing that we are all children of God changes my perspective of how I view and treat others. In life, I think we are quick to judge others, but if we could take a moment and try to view them as God sees them, we would have a lot less criticism, pride, selfishness, and hate in this world, and more service, love, and joy. One of the quotes that I enjoy most is "We must be the change that we wish to see in the world", if we work on changing and improving ourselves, and becoming a positive influence in the world, we can be a force for good.
At home we teach our children to love each other and to believe in God. It is not always easy to teach young children but we know that being a parent is the greatest calling that we have.
At work I strive to be honest and a good example to all that I come into contact with. I want people to know that I a member of Christ's church and I want them to know this through the things that I do.
