Clinton: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Clinton

I'm a marketing professional and love Northwest fly fishing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy camping and hiking in the outdoors with my family. In the spring, you might find me coaching or umpiring baseball games and in the summer I take time off to help with Cub Scout Day Camp and 4-H horse shows. Fly fishing for trout, salmon, and steelhead in the early morning hours helps me unwind from the stress of work and I occasionally get away on a winter evening to night ski.

Why I am a Mormon

My top priority is to build strong and lasting relationships with my wife and children. Each Sunday, I learn from the experience of men and women who have similar goals. They have high standards for their youth, which reinforces principles I teach my children, like honesty, fairness, loyalty, trust, and hard work. I have felt the Savior's love as I've read about His life and His teachings. Jesus Christ ordained prophets, apostles and teachers during His ministry. This organization has been restored in our day; complete with the ordinances, doctrine and authority essential to joy in this life and eternal happiness in the next. God loves each one of us and I am truly grateful to have living prophets and apostles who comfort us in times of trouble, teach us the way to be happy, and encourage us to live up to our full potential.

Personal Stories

How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?

Modern prophets have taught us to meet individually with children to discuss their needs, goals, and concerns. I recently had the experience of talking with my children about some of their recent accomplishments and working on some Cub Scout activities together. We laughed together about some of the fun memories we made this summer as a family. Taking the time to talk with my children helps them feel my love and opens the lines of communication.

How I live my faith

We have over 200 people in our congregation. Many of them are young families, just starting out in life. When they need to move to a new home, I help organize a group of men to assist with lifting and loading furniture and heavy boxes into a moving truck. My oldest daughter and I sing at choir practice each Sunday and we perform several times each year. My son is a member of the Webelos Cub Scout Den chartered by our congregation. I frequently help with field trips, day camp and Pack activities. Each day, we take a few minutes to read from the scriptures as a family and then pray before bed. This time gives me an opportunity to teach my children and express my love to them. We are learning the Savior's doctrines of faith, hope, charity, service, obedience, honesty and love.
