Hi, I'm Mike Tompkins
Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. I served a full-time mission for the Church in Southern Chile and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm currently studying Psychology. I have a beautiful wife and a two year old son. I love receiving gospel questions and would love to answer any questions you may have about the Church.
Why I am a Mormon
I learned about the nature of God and His plan for me back in 2004. I was in a pretty simple and steady life with a good job but felt a "hole in my soul" as I describe it. I didn't feel happy inside and I wasn't sure why. Upon learning and embracing the teachings of the restored Gospel, the hole was immediately filled. It was incredible. I found a sense of purpose in my life never that I never had before and a desire to live life to the fullest. Joining the Church has been the greatest the decision I have ever made.
Personal Stories
How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?
Jesus wants so much that we can be happy and united as families. I have a wife and a toddler and what strengthens us more that anything else is reading God's word together and praying as a family. I gives me so much confidence and relief to know that my son has the most reliable source of wisdom and that he knows where to find it: by praying and studying the scriptures.
How I live my faith
What I love most about the teachings of the Church is the logic in God's plan for our happiness. I make an active effort to read and study God's word on a daily basis. I'm currently serving in the Church as a Sunday School Teacher. This year, our topic is the New Testament.

Joseph Smith
As is the case throughout history God has communicated to His children through prophets. God used a humble man as a prophet to restore His Church on earth who ultimately died defending His faith.
