Karine: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Karine

I am a stay at home Mother of five wonderful children, so far. I love the gospel and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mother of 5 wonderful and beautiful children, so far. We are hoping to complete our family through adoption and the gift of a birth mother's love. I have been married for 20 years to my best friend and the love of my life. Family is everything to me! We love music in our family... from singing, playing , to dancing. We are gospel orientated family and try to focus on the family, while making our home a heaven on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into the church, but my testimony and faith really grew when I was only 7 years old and I lost my sister who was 11. Her death affected my whole family. It was knowing that we could be a forever family that helped me and comforted me in those saddest times. I am thankful for that testimony, for it has carried me through many more tragedies in my life, from loosing a friend, who was murdered, to my grandparents early death and to my Father's death 13 years ago. Knowing they are in a beautiful place, watching over me, preparing for the day we all can be together again comforts me. Knowing they are NOT dead in the ground, that they are with Heavenly Father still working for him, comforts me greatly!

Personal Stories

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

I believe that Heavenly Father hears my prayers and answers them. I know this for myself. Sometimes, the answer is "NO" and that can be hard to accept. However, if we pray that we will accept the Lord's Will and trust that he knows what is best for us, it will all work out, for the best, for us in the end. :) Sometimes the answer is not right now too. We have to know that Heavenly Father will bless us for the righteous desires of our hearts. If we are praying for something that he feels is good for us, it will be a Yes answer.
Sometimes, my prayers are not answered for years. I keep praying for what that answer until I feel I have recieved it. Sometimes, our answers come to us in a still small voice or thought/feeling the next day as to what to do. It can come to us as inspiration. It can even come to us through other people, who are God's angels on earth doing his work.
Whatever your seeking... he Does hear us! I testify this to you! You are NEVER ALONE! We can not give up or get discouraged if the answers do not happen in "OUR TIME". Remember Heavenly Father's time and ours is two very different times.

What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?

Family is everything to me. To keep our family strong and our relationships in our family going, we all strive to do things together. We clean together, work together, play together and learn together. We do service projects for each other (yes my children do these things for their siblings and love it) We have family home evenings and go to church together. We (my husband and I) have dates with each child and time on a daily basis to talk with each of our children. We pray together and read the scriptures together. We try to teach our children to make good decisions on their own. We teach our children moral values and how to work hard. We really strive to know our children individually and seperately. We try to build each other up in the family and support each other in the things that we each are interested in. We encourage our children to try new things and to share their talents. We do service projects for others outside our family as a family. My husband and I give our children chores, which teaches them responsibility and how to be apart of our family. Most of all, we hug each other and say I LOVE YOU every day, sometimes more than once... more like 4 times if possible :)

How I live my faith

I am currently a teacher in primary for the valiant 9 boys. I love my calling! Teaching the children in primary is a very special calling to me. They are so pure and Christ-like.
My family and I strive at home to have regular family home evening, where we set aside a time to be together as a family. To talk about the gospel or teach a lesson. We can also play games or do a family activity. The time together is very precious and important to us as a family, for we strive to have close relationships with each other and to lead Christ-like lives.
