About Me

I'm a service missionary. I love to listen to music, especially if it involves Japanese vocals. I often battle with anxiety and OCD, but learning to overcome them has blessed my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because i can't stand the thought of not being one. It makes me happy, and I mean that! I often ponder where my life would be had I not had knowledge of the gospel.

Personal Stories

Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you in your life?

The Savior's teaching that he has felt the pain for not only our sins, but our sicknesses and illnesses is the most influential in my life. Because of this, I know he knows how to help me through things like depression or a particularly anxious day.

How I live my faith

I teach children. I love the lessons from the scriptures. I love to watch as they begin to understand the scriptures and have their love for the Savior grow. They're so fun to be with and I enjoy it every time I go.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Lots of reasons really. My favorite answer however has to deal with happiness. If we did not have a Savior, when we sinned, we would lose our happiness, and never make it to heaven. However, Because of the Savior, we can repent, and diligently strive to do better. If we do this he will make us happy and give us joy.

Have you ever met a perfect person? I doubt it. Why? Because everyone makes mistakes. When you make a mistake or are confused on what you should do, you want someone to help you, right? We all need someone to help us. We all need a Savior. We always hear that Jesus Christ saved us, but what does that truly mean? It not only means that he suffered and died for you personally, it means that he lived and lives for us too. He wants to help us. Jesus Christ is the only one who underestands everything that we go through. He not only wants to make up for the mistakes we make, but he wants to carry our burdens too. All we need to do is let him carry our burdens. Everyone faces personal challenges and Jesus is there to help. Everyone makes a mistake qa some point in life too. The beauty of having a Savior, is the fact that we can be forgiven. Sometimes our hands get dirty, but they can always be washed clean.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

I do believe that there is a prophet alive today. This was a concept that I struggled with when I was investigating the Church because I was skeptical of ancient prophets, much less a living prophet. As I worked with the Bishop and Stake President (local Church leaders), I began to see that they could receive revelations for my benefit as well as other Church members for whom they have responsibility. Seeing God's power through these good men that I came to know personally helped me realize that our Heavenly Father directs his Church through modern day prophets.
