Hi, I'm Dr. Tim
I'm a native Californian. I have practiced as a third generation Chiropractic doctor over 29 years and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a third generation Chiropractor and Health Care Provider. I enjoy working with and helping people of all ages. I have five children, four living. Our oldest son died at the age of 14 from complications with brain cancer. It was a very difficult time in my life as a father, husband and father. My remaining children are all married with a total of 10 grandchildren. Being a grandparent is awesome. Our family has connections to Brazil through marriage, we enjoy learning new cultures and celebrations. I enjoy writing, photography, family History, Ancient and modern History as a hobby and taking walks with my wife. Autum is my favorite time of the year I also enjoy the movies. I am an avid singer having started out with barbershop and moved into classical and religious music. I have sung with professional and community based choruses and done small group and solo work in stage and Church programs. Music is an awsome way to express your feelings and feel a closeness to God that you can't get any other way. I am a huge fan of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Why I am a Mormon
I was 6 years old when my family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have come to know through my own experiences, study and prayer with a confirmation by the Holy Ghost that the Gospel of Jesus Christ in it's fullness has been restored to the Earth. I have had the testifying spirit confirm my decisions to serve as a missionary in my youth and other choices that have affected the path of my life's vocation and avocations. The word of God as contained in All the scriptures has become a vital part of my life as I recognize God's dealings with his children are the same throughout time. I have continually felt the tender mercies of my Savior's love through his atoneing sacrifice. Life would not be bearable, understandable or enjoyable without a knowledge of God, his Son and their plan for all mankind. As a Mormon I deal with people differently in my daily life knowing we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father. I try each day to emulate the example of his Son Jesus Christ in my dealings with my Family knowing we can be together forever. I can wake up each day with joy even when life gets hard, because I am a Mormon.
Personal Stories
Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you?
When he delcared he was the resurrection and the life, the first fruits of them that slept.
Our first born son when he was eight years old was diagnosed with cancer of the brain. Up til then he had been a happy healthy boy. After several surgeries and rehabilitation he lived a less than normal life until he passed away at age 14. I know through the gift of eternal life that Christ gave to all mankind that he will live again and that we will be able to see our son again. Even after 31 years there is not a day that goes by when I don't think of him. I was honored to be his father for a short time and will again be over joyed at being reunited with him in the eternaties. I know that the Lord Jesus Christ broke the bands of death and that all mankind will be resurrected the just and the unjust and given eternal blessings according to our choices. Death is not the victor, the waiting is the hardest.
How I live my faith
I have served in my community in several volunteer capacities as a board member of an accountability program for juvenile offenders and as a planning commissioner for my city. I currently serve in my Church with oversight in music programs, Public Affairs activities. I meet with local congregations and their leaders in their efforts to provide all the programs the Church offers it's members. I serve with my wife in organizing youth participation that covers a large geographical area in our local Temple . I enjoy my neighbors and the people I have served for over 28 years in my Health Practice. People are so diverse it is facinating to see the amazing variety, I strive to be honest in all my dealings with my fellowman and attribute my continued good fortune and growth of my practice to the Christian way of dealing with people.
Family is very important to me, I have responsibility of watching over several widows and single parent homes in our congregation. One single mom has a severely handicapped son that provides me with continual opportunities for help and support that she is without not having a spouse. The elderly ladies are about the same age as my own mother who I speak to every Saturday morning. Having a friend and just someone to talk to is a great benefit to many of their lives and I get to appreciate lifes experiences through them.
I have one gentleman that I see on a weekly basis. His wife of nearly 60 years passed away last year. He was one of my vocal coaches as well as being a patient. Now that he is home-bound I get the opportunity to see him every Tuesday. We go to lunch and then I take him grocery shopping for the week. Since my own father passed away several years ago this is enjoyable for me and He has great time listening to classical music and remembering his days as a professional singer around the world.
