Justin: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Justin

I am a pre-nursing major. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been happily married since 2008. My wife and I enjoy doing things together like fishing, camping, and working on projects like rebuilding furniture.
I enjoy building things with my hands, especially out of wood.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon, all growing up I have had the Mormon influence. I went to church on sunday, I went to Mormon classes throughout the week, and I went to Mormon activities with my friends... but this is not why I'm Mormon.
I went to Alaska during the summer (I was 14) without my family. It was the first time I was without my family. The first couple weeks I did everything possible to actively pursue my religious studies. This provided to be difficult as I didn't have my drivers license. The family I was staying with does not practice the LDS religion. After a few weeks, I realized I was seeking out the Mormon church because of the faith of my parents and friends...I decided I needed to know for myself. I decided I didn't want to believe something blindly. I decided I needed to know for myself. I sought out to know for myself. I remembered something that was told to me once: If you read the Book of Mormon, Think about the message therein, and pray to God and ask Him if it was HIS message. I could tell you everything about the exact time and place I received my answer, but I can't quite find the words to describe how I felt. It was a feeling of intense love and a complete peace. I felt at peace about all of my doubts and questions about the church.
This one moment has changed my life. I have felt like anytime I need consoling, extra inspiration, or I am confused, I know I can ask God and He will help me through my problems.

How I live my faith

I am currently the "Ward Mission Leader" and I directing efforts to help reach out to others with Jesus Christ's message.
Living in a little college town there are plenty of opportunities to help out the community, especially with so many students coming and going, whether it be helping them move or by befriending them.
