Isaac: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Isaac

I'm simply a nice guy and the youngest of six and I'm a Mormon too!

About Me

Basically I'm the youngest of six siblings, with a nephew serving in Las Vegas, NV, a nephew serving in Itay and another nephew leaving to serve in Portugal soon. Currently I held my studies to serve on a full time mission in the best mission in the whole world: Mission Mexico Tijuana. I'm happily serving the Lord and looking to share that wonderful gospel that has made my family and me so happy.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts since almost 50 years ago. They both came to the church and held strongly. I've seen my mom's example throughout my childhood, and although we've been lacking some of the "material" stuff, we have what's most important: Our family and the promise of living as an eternal family. I've prayed and pondered and there's no doubt that this is the truth church.

Personal Stories

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

A few months ago, while getting my papers fixed, I helped a missionary from our ward who didn't have a partner yet. I spent half a day with him and I can really testify that it was a thrilling experience. I'm excited right now since I'll be leaving soon to serve a full time mission. The moment I got my calling in my hands I was really excited, since it was something I was really looking forward to. My mom and I prayed and thanked for this wonderful blessing, and when I saw where I was serving, I was extremely grateful to the Lord for sending me to that place. He knew that it was the best place and it will be, full of work thanks to the construction of a temple in the area I'll be serving.

How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?

By starting, step by step, with our family home evening. At first we had a bit of trouble with it, since our schedules didn't match at all, but we started with making our family prayers. That slowly brought us together, since we knew we had to make our family prayer before going bed. Afterwards, by assisting to more Church activities, since we can participate and share at home what we learned/did and perceived. And slowly, we started doing our family home evenings, and we (my brother, my mom and I), would give a little lesson, or sometimes the little lesson would be personal and we'd discuss about situations that have been affecting us. It's all about communication, if there is no communication, then it is hard to bring harmony.

How I live my faith

I've lived with high standards and people seem to notice I'm different. I share my knowledge and help others with patience and love. People sometimes think it's silly from my behalf to help others "for free", but I really know that helping others makes me feel happy and useful. It is hard to be an example, but it's reallyw orth it. I pray daily and I'm imperfect, but I try my very best every day to make up for those mistakes and improve.
