Kelli: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Kelli

I'm a college graduate and a stay-at-home mom. I'm a wife, daughter, sister and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah with my parents, 3 sisters, and 1 brother. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Home and Family Living. I also took many classes in sign language and try to keep up some of the skills I learned in those classes. I have been married since May 2008 and have one beautiful daughter. I love to play soccer, do puzzles, play the piano, watch movies, play games, and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are Mormons and have been since birth so I learned my faith a little bit at a time from them. As a little child, I'm sure I relied on their faith and followed their teachings without fully understanding the Gospel but I have searched for my own testimony of the truth and know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. I have prayed and received many answers to my prayers and know that God is real and that He loves and cares about each and every person in this world. I have received answers that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, that we have a living prophet on the earth today, and that Jesus Christ was resurrected and atoned for all of our sins. Because of this Atonement, we all have the opportunity to return to our loving Heavenly Father one day. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me more happiness than I can describe. I know that by doing what my Heavenly Father wants me to do I will have more fulfillment and happiness in life than I would any other way. Now that I am a mother, I am going to teach my children the truths that I have learned. Not because I just want them to be members of my same church or because I want them to be blindly obedient to me but because I want the very best for my children. And I can think of no better gift for my children than to hand down the knowledge that they have a Heavenly Father who loves them and wants them to return to Him.

Personal Stories

What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?

The biggest thing I can do for my family is help turn them to the Savior. I try hard to set a good example of being positive, following the Spirit, and being grateful for everything that God has given me. I know from experience that we are the happiest when we are doing what God would want us to do. If my family is happy, then I feel that we are successful. We are not perfect and it is not always easy but we have a lot of love in our home and that, above all else, will be able to get us through anything.

How I live my faith

Currently, my husband serves in the leadership of a student singles ward so I attend that ward with him. It is so fun to be around the energy and enthusiasm that comes with a singles ward. I am part of the largest women's organization in the world that is part of our church. As a member of this organization I visit some of the women in my area and teach them about the Gospel and help them in any aspect of their lives that they are needing help in. Basically, I am their friend and try to help support them in everything they do.
