Heather: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Heather

I capture life through a camera lens and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom to 4 beautiful and amazing children and a brand new grandma! My greatest love is Photography and there are not many days, hours, minutes when you won't see a camera in my hand, or me behind the lens. I love to scrapbook and make cards and handmade things. My husband and kids and I live in New York State in the cradle of the restoration. I feel blessed to be a part of this huge amazing cosmos that we live in.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Catholic but all my life I still felt lost. I attended Catholic School and church and felt that there must be something more...somewhere else... Now I am a Mormon because I knew, after reading the Book of Mormon for the first time, that it is truly another testament of Jesus Christ. I could FEEL it in my heart and in my very soul. My whole being was moved when I was baptized as though the heavens had opened up and I finally felt at home.

Personal Stories

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

I truly hope that a card that I make of a small gift that I make with loving hands in some way brightens someones day. I hope that my scrapbooks shine a light on the people in them to the people of the future who read them. I hope that in them I portray how very special and important my family and friends are to me and why they should be special to others as well.

I especially hope that one of my pictures will bring joy and happiness to someone. That a simple portrait, might say what words cannot. How very precious life is.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Prayer is woven into every part of my day/life. It is so important to me that it has become ingrained in my life. I think I might always have a prayer on my lips or in my mind even if I do not kneel at that exact moment to pray. I know that God answers prayers and I know that he answers mine.

How I live my faith

I served my church as an Activities Leader. I get to do cool stuff like help plan craft classes and dinners and cool stuff like that. I am now working on being a helping hand in almost everything I do. For instance, holding the door for people whenever I walk into a building. But also, I try to be cheerful, to lift others spirits and lighten their load.
