Hi, I'm Nathanael

I am the oldest brother of four kids. I like astronomy, arts, and Martial Arts, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 19 years old. I am now in the MTC preparing to go to Brazil, Fortaleza and learning Portuguese.
I have gotten my GED (High School Diploma), I have gotten my Eagle Award in scouting, and my Gold and Trust awards in Venturing. I have also recently gotten my Ranger Award for Venturing aswell.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a 2nd Generation Mormon, my mother and father were converted to the LDS Church. My Dad's mother was looking for a church that promised something for her and her family, and they found the Mormon Church. Later my father met my mother who ended up joining as well, they both served missions. My father in Frankford, Germany and my mother went to Mexico.
I have looked at other religious and how they act, preach and what they teach and none have come close to this Gospel.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

The reason why we go on missions, is because we believe in the Gosepel, and it is said in Alma, that since he new of the Atonemonment he did not want anyone to suffer so he went and preached so people could see that there was a way to repent, that is the same with us, we know what happens when you don't repent and we want to invite others have that aporunity.

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

Recently my family dicided to make a big move while I am on my mission, so i will be moving to that place and not where i grew up. I had mixed feelings, i kind of didn't want it, but I asked God if it was his will or not and felt a peace that this is his will. My family is moving from Florida to Tennasse for a new job offer my dad has, my entire family lives in Florida, i will not be able to see them as offten, but i am vey excited to be coming home to a new place and see my family and how much they have grown.

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

The missions of the Church is to help people come closer to Christ. We do them is because we have done what was nessesary, which is to ask God, to know if the Church is true, and wish for others to know the same thing we do. The main reason we do them is because God has told us so, which is the most important reason, if you have a testimony of the Church and have the spirit with you, go and tell the world. Beause, ´this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their dlabors,´ Book of Mormon Alma 3432 and we help by declaring that the Church of Christ is on ethe earth again through missionary work

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what is asked of me. Fufilling my callings, obeying the commandments, and listening to the Prophet.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

The Mormon Church does not endorse political parties. It does, however, strongly encourage political participation. We believe that one of God's greatest gifts to his children is the freedom to choose. With this gift comes the responsibility to do our part to make good choices. It is a great blessing to live in areas where we have the opportunity to vote for our leaders.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Everything in nature tells me that there is a God. The universe is so ordered, so perfectly in harmony. If you really study our wonderful little planet, you'll learn that it is so amazingly unique to be able to sustain life, that there is just no way the earth and its inhabitants were merely created by chance.
The most important reason I know there is a God, though, is because I have felt his presence in my life. Through prayer, I have built a relationship with him, and as such, I love him and know that he loves me.
