David: Mormon.

Hi, I'm David

I am a father of two. I'm a marketer. I am an avid sports fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Virginia and grew up in Utah. After graduating from college, I went on to earn a MBA. I married the most wonderful woman in the world, who is also my best friend, and am blessed to be the father of two. I work in marketing for a large consumer packaged goods company. I have lived in Germany and across the United States--South, Northeast, and Midwest. I have been fortunate to travel to many countries and to see BYU win a national championship in college football.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. I grew up attending church and was blessed with loving parents and a very happy childhood. I never doubted that the church was true, yet somehow took the implications of it for granted.

As I have grown older and become a father, I now better realize the magnitude and implications of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so blessed to have the knowledge of who I am, the purpose of life, and where I am going. The answers to these questions provide perspective along with immeasurable peace, joy, and hope no matter how stressful work has been.

Our Savior, Jesus Christ, loves each of us so much that He willingly suffered and paid for our mistakes to make it possible for us to return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father again as an eternal family. This means everything. I know that this is true and have felt His love in my life.

How I live my faith

My faith is simply part of my daily life. Since we have no paid clergy in our church, we all have an opportunity to pitch in and help out on Sundays and throughout the week. On Sundays, I lead gospel discussions about a variety of topics with some of the men in our congregation. In the past, I have also helped with the young men and children in our congregation.

During the week, I study and ponder the gospel topics that I will share on Sundays to deepen my understanding and faith. There are also opportunities to help those in need with anything from moving furniture to providing a listening ear to visiting families and sharing an encouraging message. Each of these opportunities provide opportunities to put my faith into action. With each of these experiences, my love and appreciation for others increases as well as my resolve to become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ, who always went about doing good.
