Im a mormon because it is the only true church of Jesus Christ on the earth today.

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

When i read the book of MORMON i just have this wonderful feeling. I feel Peace. calm and comfort. The book of MORMON is another testament of JESUS CHRIST. It teaches me a lot about JESUS CHRISTas does the bible. It help clarify a lot of things that i dont understand about like the atonement and alot of different things.I encourage Everyone to read the book of mormon.

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

In many different ways. When i'm not so sure about a choice that i make. I listen to the prompting of the HOLY GHOST. The HOLY GHOST helps me make the right choice.

How I live my faith

By keeping the LORD commandments and doing my best to serve others.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Missionaries save up before they go on a mission. But families that cannot afford it or cannot save enough money the church helps support them. Show more Show less

As a father of two sons, one of whom has recently returned from serving a full time mission in West Africa I can testify that there are blessings for the family of these missionaries that are beyond compare. When my eldest son was born his mother and I began a savings program that would help fund his mission. Missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provide the funding for their missions on their own. They are not paid by the Church for this service. As my son grew older, and he got pocket money, or money from grandma and grandpa who were living in America, he would take a portion of that money, after tithing, and would put it in a savings account for his mission, not knowing that mom and dad had a similar account for him. It turned out that his savings over the fifteen years or so, covered the majority of the expences. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does have a general missionary fund that proivides assistance to those missionaries who might need help in this area. Locally wards/congregations, from time to time will also help out with the financial assistance should it be required. Show more Show less

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

The bible reffers to our bodies as the temple, I believe this is because when we recieve the Holy Ghost we get to have a portion of that spirit with us always if we are clean. Whenever I think of God I think perfection and cleanness, likewise for the spirit of the Holy Ghost to be inside of us we must to be clean. Show more Show less
