Annalee. : mother, seamstress, gardener, crafter, wife, pregnant, Mormon.

Hi, I'm Annalee.

I live on a farm with my husband and our 10 children. I'm very happy to have the gospel in my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 10 beautiful children. I enjoy gardening, sewing, playing the piano, & am trying to learn the violin. I spend most of my time teaching; whether in schooling my children, or in helping them and others with music lessons. I love flowers and being able to grow things from seed. I love being outside and living on a farm with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel means everything to me. Because of the gospel, the life I have and the person I am are much different than they would otherwise be. The gospel defines who I am, why I do the things I do, and what I am hoping for in this life and the next. It is learning these teachings and then trying to live them that brings me great joy and fulfillment. Because of my Savior, Jesus Christ, I have great joy and hope in my future as well as in the future of our family unit, because of our temple sealing, that we can be together forever. I am completely in His debt, and owe all I am and ever hope to become, to my Savior. I believe that our Heavenly Father has prepared the way for each of us and that He is with us in all we do and experience, if we want Him to be.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Mormons want to serve missions so they can share with others the wonderful gospel message. Missionaries are typically young men who devote 2 years of their lives to the full time work of sharing the gospel. Often young women serve missions, along with older couples. My parents are currently on a service mission, and our oldest son is serving a 2-year mission in the Philippines. Although we cannot serve a full time mission now, we are looking forward to the day when our children will be raised and we can spend that time together, serving the Lord and blessing the lives of His children. We try to be missionaries now by introducing ourselves to others and being willing to share with them the wonderful gospel message.

How I live my faith

My most important calling to serve is that of wife and mother. To pass on our beliefs and help our children, my husband and I have chosen to teach them school at home. That means I am with my children most of the time. The home is the "testing ground" for living the gospel principles. We have plenty of testing! But, it is very rewarding to help our children learn how to read, do their math, etc. I can't think of anything that I could do that would bring greater fulfillment at this time of my life. I have also been given many opportunities to serve in the gospel. Some of the things I do are help with the scouts as a den mother. I love working with children. I play the piano and organ and coordinate music for meetings. Sometimes I feel that pianists are threatened to become extinct, so as part of my calling, I decided to teach piano lessons to ward members desiring to play, free of charge. This has been a wonderful time for me and I have benefited greatly by the friendships developed. I also visit 4 sisters each month so we can discuss gospel principles and see if they need anything. Service to others is service to the Lord, as it says in Mosiah 2:17 "...When ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of you God."
