I grew up in Utah. I'm serving two years for our God and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah, my family moved around for awhile within the state, I love the snow and the mountains! I love playing sports any kind of sports from tenis to football, I also have fun playing video games, my family and friends mean alot to me. Right now I serving two years teaching people about Our Savior Jesus Christ in the wonderful swamps of Florida.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, This is where I found peace and saftey and happiness. I have never been the smartest person alive, (still not) so I have made some mistakes. Those mistakes weighed me down and I couldn't get over them. However following the princapls that the Restored Gospel of Christ teaches I have become happy, more then that I have joy. I have become so close to my Savior while living the pricipals that this church teaches.

Personal Stories

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

The knowledge of knowing where I came from why I am here and where will I go after this life, has blessed me with a sense of purpose. I strive everyday to be a better person, a better son to my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by sharing. I am spending two years serving and teaching others about our Savior, and how to come unto him. My purpose is to Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them to recieve the restored Gospel. I am out sharing about the things that have made me happy, I want others to find this happiness too. I know this is it that this is the way to find that peace and joy that everyone has been looking for.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Our Prophet has said Every worthy young man serve a mission. Now are we forced to go out and serve? Of course not, it is our choice just like living the commandments is a choice.

No. Every worthy young man is expected to serve a mission, though there is no punishment for not doing so. Also, not every young man is physically or mentally capable, so there are circumstances where a young man may be excused from service. Young women may also serve missions, but are not expected to do so.

Serving a mission means a full-time commitment, leaving family and friends to preach the gospel in a place assigned by the Church.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

We believe that baptism is essential for salvation. It is a covenant with God to obey his commandments. Christ taught that we all must be baptized. Some people die without being baptized or knowing about the Church of Jesus Christ. They must also have an opportunity for salvation. Those who have died are taught the gospel in the world of the spirits. But, baptism is an earthly ordinance. So we can perform that ordinance for them by being baptized for them, just as Christ died for us as a proxy for us, we can be baptized for others. This is authorized by Christ in his church to be performed in the temples. The person who died can either receive this gift or reject it. They still have their agency.
