I am the son Methodist Pastors, Heavenly Father changed my life, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the son of two United Methodist Pastors. I work for a National Health Insurance Company. I enjoy golfing, football, camping, four wheeling, and white water rafting.

Someday I want to become an expert sky diver and learn to fly fish.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I received the Book of Mormon, I read it, I studied it, and I earnestly prayed to know if it was true.

The overwhelming assurance of it's truth was carried into my heart by The Holy Spirit.

In the years since this experience I have come to know more truth about The Book of Mormon and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I'm a Mormon because I love The Book of Mormon, latter day prophets, the restoration of the Priesthood, and the knowledge that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by showing up when I am needed. I realized that I don't have to be the strongest, smartest, or fastest. I just do my best to do what is asked of me.

To quote President Deiter F. Uchtdorf, I try to "Lift where I stand."

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

I came to know my Father in Heaven trough two simple steps that any one can follow.

The first and possible most important step is believing that He is real and that He loves you.
The second step is built upon this faith. By prayer, reflection, scripture reading, and keeping His commandments you can receive direction and peace in your life.

Outgrowths of this are witnessed as you exercise your faith and serve those around you; you will not only feel Heavenly Fathers love for you but also for those you serve.

I have come to know our Father in Heaven through private prayer and service. As I pray and receive answers through impressions and feelings, I am able to assist in His work. At other times, I have been comforted at the times when I needed it most by a very real presence. I feel His love as I serve others and I can feel His love for them.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Women don't hold the priesthood in the church, as this is a teaching that has come from Jesus Christ. However, women have such a significant role to play in the church that personally I have never felt that this is an issue I am concerned with or even think about. My husband and I are equal partners in our family, and the church has such respect and reverence for women and their role in the world. Women in the church also belong to what is called the 'Relief Society' it is one of the largest women's organisation in the world, and fills me with such a desire to serve and do good that when we meet together wherever I am in the world I feel so proud to be apart of it.
