About Me

I am married to a beautiful wife and have 2 beautiful little girls! They are my joys in my life!
Currently I'm station at Fort Rucker in Alabama. I'm in flight school. I will be an Apache pilot when I graduate in the fall of 2011!

Why I am a Mormon

I have asked Heavenly Father, and I feel he has answered me through simple feelings in my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is his church.

How I live my faith

Daily. I live my faith everyday. Becoming like Christ isn't a once in a week experience. I feel that my faith is who I am. I'm not over-the-top, in-your-face religious, I just try to do what right.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

I think the Church is growing because people see that there can be a better way to live, that they don't have to be bound by the chains of addiction, pornography, dysfunction and broken homes. We know that the most important thing in this world is the family and the future of this world is found in the lives of the children and teenagers we see on the street, in our malls and schools. The best thing we can do is teach them to be honest, upright and moral citizens who can contribute to the betterment of society. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that the family is incredibly significant--so significant that God wants us to be families forever, even when we die. This is huge for many people in the world who realize that their children can really be with them forever. There is tremendous comfort in that, and I think this is why so many people are drawn to this Church. It provides hope and peace.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Chastity is reserving physical intimacy for after marriage. This sexual intimacy is such a beautiful and powerful display of love that it is to be reserved for that special time. When we do this we are showing the respect and love we have for ourselves and our bodies, as the gift from God that they are. Through our dress, language and behavior we also show our self worth and respect for who we are. The neat thing about being modest is the strong self confidence that is exhibited by your outward appearance. There is a power that comes from knowing that we are children of a loving Heavenly Father. As parents teach their children that simple truth, that self confidence will develop and as the desire to be modest in dress, language and behavior will come naturally. I know that this was the case in my life and am super grateful for the teachings of my parents and the high self confidence it cultivated in knowing of my individual worth as a daughter of God.
