Hi, I'm Tyler
I Love to drum and read Biblical Hebrew. I'm a child of God, a husband and a father of two, and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I work as a consultant in the landscape and irrigation industry, but my passion is Ancient History. I tend to talk a little to much about history to my friends, and I'm almost certain they tune me out now.
I've been playing the drums now for about 15 years, and I love music. I'm a sucker for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and you can often hear my kids ask if we can listen to something other than grown up music. I have two beautiful children, and a wonderful wife. I live life to its fullest, and I know that Christ is my Savior.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because of three very important things. 1) I know with an absolute certainty that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I know he was called to restore Christ's church in these latter-days. 2)Because Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, he had power to translate The Book of Mormon. I have prayed to God in heaven about that book, and He has revealed to me through the Holy Ghost that it is a true record of the ancient inhabitants of this continent, and is, as it claims to be, another testament of Jesus Christ. 3) Because those previous two items are true, I know that the Mormon church is Christ's only true and living church on the earth right now, and that it has been established to prepare the way for His glorious Second Coming. That is why I am a Mormon.
Personal Stories
Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?
Prayer is the way that I communicate with the God that I love, and the feeling I receive whenever I pray, tells me that he loves me too.
Prayer is my opportunity to connect with the very God who holds all things within his loving hands. It is my chance to thank Him for all he has given me in this life.
Prayer gives me Hope, it creates a atmosphere of love and charity in my heart for those with whom I associate. It motivates to action the things that are important for me to do.
Prayer endues me with power to do Gods will.
Prayer is one of the greatest blessings we have in this life.
How I live my faith
I live my faith vary carefully. I am prone to the natural man way too much to not live by ever word that proceedeth forth from the mouth of God at all times, every day.
I teach the weekly Gospel Doctrine class right now nearly every Sunday, and I love it more than I can say. Being required to lead the gospel discussion every week helps me stay focused on keeping myself in tune with the Holy Spirit, and without that spirit, I cannot teach to save my life.
