Hi, I'm Emily
I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I just finished college, and I've entered the workforce as an editor/writer. In my free time I like to catch up with friends, play the guitar and the piano, read, and plan trips around the world.
Although I live in a different state as the rest of my family, I love to talk to and spend time with them. My younger brothers are the coolest boys on the planet.
Why I am a Mormon
I have grown up in the Church, but through the help of the Holy Ghost, I have built my own testimony. I know that this is Christ's Church on Earth, and that the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ has made it possible for us to become like He is.
As a twenty-something-year-old single, I've dealt with a lot of transition over the last few years. As I'm making decisions and dealing with change, it is so comforting to know that the Church and my testimony are constants in my life, no matter where I am or what I'm doing.
Personal Stories
How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?
My knowledge of the Plan of Happiness has brought me great comfort, helping me to know who I am, why I'm here on Earth, and what I'm working toward. I'm grateful for a testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ and what He sacrificed so that I can be made whole. It means the world to me to know that Heavenly Father loves me, that I have a family I can be with forever, and that "men are, that they might have joy" (2 Nephi 2:25). Life is wonderful!
How I live my faith
I live my faith by participating in my ward. I go to Church each Sunday to take the Sacrament. My ward is especially for single adults, and one of my responsibilities is to help plan activities during the week. These activities help us get to know each other better, and I'm grateful for the friends I have made from attending.
I live my faith outside of Church meetings as well. By reading my scriptures and praying every day, I invite the Holy Ghost to be with me. I am also living my faith by serving others and trying to keep the commandments.
