Hi, I'm Hannah
I love books, art musuems and Rascal Flatts and I am a Mormon
About Me
Like many college students, I spend my days studying, writing papers, and reading textbooks. I am currently majoring in English ,and would love to teach at the college level. My biggest dream is, to stroll through the streets of Europe, and down the halls of the Louve Musuem. I enjoy reading all genres of books espically those written by Nicholas Sparks. When fall time rolls around, I can be found proudly cheering on my beloved Auburn Tigers. Having been exposed to music all of my life, I love all genres of music but have gained a love for Rascal Flatts. Having been taught from a young age to have the most upmost respect for all religons and never put one down, I enjoy learning of diffrent faiths and how they worship our Heavenly Father ,and try to make the world a better place.
Why I am a Mormon
The reason I am a Mormon is because I have come to know for myself that our Heavenly Father did answer the prayer of a young, humble farmboy named Joseph Smith and through him Heavenly Father once again restored his church . The same that existed during the time of Peter, Paul, and John, making it possible for us to return to the presence of our Heavenly Father. Although I have been raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since I was born, there came a time in my life that I to begin to question if the teachings that my parents, church leaders or other acquatances were teaching me were correct. During a family trip to Palmyra, New York to visit the home of Joseph Smith and the Sacred Grove, the place where the young fourteen year old Joseph Smith saw our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in an answer to his humble prayer, concerning which church he should join. Relying on the teachings that I had been taught, I took upon myself and asked my Heavenly Father relying on much faith if Joseph Smith truly saw what he professed to have seen. Upon asking my Heavenly Father if it was true and honestly happened, I recieved the most amazing feeling, not one that comes from opening a present but one of joy, happiness and peace. This feeling is one that I wish everyone could feel. At that moment, I knew that Joseph Smith's humble prayer was in deed answered and from that humble prayer our Heavenly Father had indeed restored his church back to the earth. Had it not been for a humble Oil Delivery Man befriending my grandparents, two humble young missionaries would have never been able to bring our family the greatest gift. Through this, the blessings of the temple and missions have blessed our families life.
Personal Stories
Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.
Each person gains their testimony of Joseph Smith at diffrent points in their life. My testimony came during a family trip to visit Palmyra, New York, the place of where Joseph Smith saw Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I had always felt like his prayer was really answered but I did not know in my heart it had happened. Being a young child, it was hard to believe someone as young as I could have seen the Savior and Heavenly Father. While touring the Sacred Grove, I asked my Heavenly Father if Joseph Smith truly did see him and Jesus Christ and from that day forth I have always known that Joseph Smith did have his prayer answered and from that humble prayer it changed the world.
How I live my faith
Through my church callings I am able to live my faith. As a member of the largest womens organization in the world, I have a chance of being assigned several women to visit each month. Each sister ranges in age from 18 years old and up and all come from diffrent walks of life and education levels. We get to know each other better on a social and spiritual level and as their visting teacher I leave a message from our living prophet to help guide them in returning back to Heavenly Father.
