John.: Mormon.

Hi, I'm John.

I'm an Entrepreneur. I'm a Father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a proud father of 5 children, as well as an entrepreneur and small business owner.

I've been involved in Internet marketing for over 15 years, and have had the chance to travel all over the U.S., Canada, and other parts of the world teaching Internet business strategies to tens of thousands of individuals.

When I'm not working, I enjoy skiing, golf, and spending time with my family outdoors here in Utah... or sometimes just doing Family History on the Internet.

Why I am a Mormon

Life has certainly not been what I expected or hoped for. I guess for most of us, it's the same. I have encountered far too many bumps on my road that I didn't anticipate. Unfortunately, some of those road blocks I put there myself through poor decisions.

I know what my life is like with the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life, and I know what it's like without it as well. I simply know that my life is so much better... more peaceful, more focused, and more joyful... when I am choosing to follow my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Life is hard enough on its own, without adding to it through mistakes of our own accord. As a Mormon, I've found that I can constantly use the healing and strengthening power of Jesus Christ to make this life so much easier to travel.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

I was a Professional Ski Instructor for many years, and one of the greatest thrills was in seeing the person that I was teaching gain the same love and passion for the sport that I had.

Learning the true gospel of Jesus Christ through my membership in the Church has created that same love and passion because of the happiness it brings to my life.

It was natural for me to want to go on a mission and share the love and passion I had for the Gospel with others.

When I served for 2 years among the people of Brazil, I was able to learn what it meant to be a disciple of Christ, and share His teachings with others. It was an amazing blessing to see the changes and happiness that came into their lives as a result.

Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?

There is such a powerful feeling that comes from knowing who we are, and many times we can connect with who we are through our own family history.

As I have done family history, I have had the chance to learn who my ancestors were and what kind of lives they lived. I find myself trying to imagine the things they experienced in their lives.

I can't help but feel a personal connection to them, which creates a caring feeling to be connected to them, and a part of their family... forever.

Family history allows us to create an eternal connection to our ancestors, and benefit from that relationship through eternity.

How I live my faith

To me, living my faith first boils down to the simple things. Personal prayer and reading the scriptures daily give me the strength to withstand the daily stuff we all deal with - as well as the temptations that may come our way.

I love learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and serving in the Sunday School helps me to do just that.

I've also gained a great love of doing Family History research online. It is absolutely amazing what technology has done for helping us to connect with our ancestors!

As part of a "younger" generation, I feel it's our gift and ability to use the Internet and technology to help with connecting to our family history like never before.
