Hi, I'm Bryon
I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a father of a bright little boy and the husband of a loving wife. Above all other things, we enjoy spending out time together in play, chores, service and meals. For me there isn't anything better.
For my work I am a wheelchair seating specialist for a non-profit organization. We evaluate patients with wheelchair and other medical equipment needs and then build complex custom rehab solutions at our shop.
I don't currently have consistent hobbies, but in the past I have been involved in almost every sport.
Why I am a Mormon
First, the term Mormon means a whole lot to me. Mormon means follower of Christ. Mormon also means being a family man. I am a Mormon because I was born to this earth in order to gain very important experiences with you, my brothers and sisters. I am a Mormon because I believe that God indeed drew up a plan that, when heeded, makes this existence peaceful and fulfilling. I am a Mormon because I live by faith in Jesus Christ and His promise to redeem us from our sins using His atoning sacrifice. I am a Mormon because I am able to serve my fellow man more fully and with the Spirit of God as my constant companion.
Personal Stories
What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?
There is a very common phrase that you might have heard before about families. It goes: Family, Isn't it about time? For me that is exactly how you strengthen your family. When you get a call from your elderly neighbor asking you to come by and help her fix something, it is so easy to just grab your son and bring him along so he can be a part of service. Meanwhile, you are spending time with him and strengthening a familial bond that no money can buy. I am going to be there for my wife and children. I want to be here for their concerns and worries and stories and trials. If I am here, they won't go looking in questionable places for support or acceptance, but will move forward with confidence and faith in this life.
How I live my faith
I live my faith openly. Each day I awake and start my day with simple prayer, thanking him for the good nights rest and asking Him to bless my efforts throughout the day. I ask him to help me see others in need and to learn important principles as I work and play. I read the Holy Scriptures with my wife and we pray over our breakfast. Scripture study helps us focus our thoughts on our true purpose here and it reminds us to be grateful. I live my faith on the road on the way to work by keeping my cool and expecting poor drivers to just be having a bad day of sorts. I live my faith at work by uplifting co-workers and never gossiping. I live my faith by striving to do my best at work with full honesty. I live my faith by creating a home of peace and familial happiness where my future children can feel secure and happy. I live my faith by seeking attributes of charity and virtue after the manner of Jesus Christ. I know that my faith will guide me to the right places.
