Jesus: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Jesus

I grew up in Puerto Rico. I love cooking, mechanics, dancing. I'm Serving as a full time missionary in SLC, UT. I'm LDS!

About Me

I studied Mechanical Engineering before serving as a missionary. I come from a family of 6 brothers & sisters. Love working with people, animals and electronics. I like music, I believe is a very powerful tool we have to edify our spirit.

Why I am a Mormon

I became in contact with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a couple of years ago. My hole family was going to really difficult times, when the missionaries arrieved to our house. One of them was called Elder Snow. I remmeber at first how we used to run & hide from the missionaries. "Shhh... don't move, they are gonna hear us!" After a while, we accpeted them in our house, and it was the best desicion our family has made. After appliying the teachings of The Gospel as the Missionaries taught us, we started to see the difference in our lives. It is amazing how God answers our prayers. Some times we just don't realize it... Anyways, the reason why I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, its because I know that it is the Church of Christ. I receive answers from my Heavenly Father every day, and I see His love in my life as well. I know what the Gospel can do in somebody's life, and I can testify of it.

Personal Stories

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

In my life prayer has been indispensable. Because of it, I believe I'm still alive. I have seem day by day how Heavenly Father answer my prayers. The condition of course, is that we ask for things according to His will. Also we do our part. For example: I want to know if the book of Mormon is true; what is my part? I need to reed it and ponder the teachings in my heart, then I'll ask and receive an answer. Faith comes as a requirement of receiving answers from God. Faith is not believing only, but doing something about it. If I have faith in my diet for example and I keep eating chocolate cake 3 times a day, that won't be that effective, right? We need to do our part in order to receive the answers. James 1:5 says that anyone who ask sincerely with "real intent" will receive from Him. What does real intent means? Well, it means that we are going to act upon the answer that we receive. So if you pray to know the church is true, you are going to receive an answer if you are willing in your heart to follow it as you receive the answer. Does that make sense? I hope it does. I have no doubt in my heart that He answer our prayer. He just does...

How I live my faith

As a missionary, you look at life from another point of view. I cannot describe the feeling of teaching a person, and helping them to make "covenants" or promises with God such as Baptism. There is always opposition in our way. There is always a stone that wants to make us fall. But as we put our trust in the Savior, and love Him enough to trust what He says, there is nothing that cannot be done.
