Hi, I'm Stefanie
I am a mom, a wife and I am Mormon.
About Me
I was born and raised in Utah. I have lived in Utah all my life and love it. My family is here in Utah and they are my love and support. I married my wonderful husband our first year in college. He has become my rock and my love.I have gone to school and gotten a degree in teaching. I taught school for three years and loved it. Then my husband and I were bless with a miracle, a new baby, through adoption. After receiving our first miracle I quite working and became a stay at home mom, which is even more work. Two years after receiving our first miracle we were blessed with our second. I am now a mother of the two cutest little boys ever! They make me smile and laugh everyday, they also keep me on my toes. We are hoping in the next little while to add a girl to our life, once again through adoption. Being a wife and a mother is the most important thing in my life right know.
Why I am a Mormon
When I was in high school I struggled with a lot of things. My mom told me to pray about it and see what happens. Well after a long while I felt a change in myself. It was not all of a sudden but slowly and surely. I started studying and reading all that I could on the gospel. My mom came up to me and asked if thing were still hard in my life and I relieved that they were only hard when I carry the struggles along, letting the lord help me made thing a lot easier.
Latter on when my husband and I tried to start a family. I was crushed to find out I could not have children. I felt like I was being denied blessing and that I was being punished. I got down on my knees and prayed like I have never prayed before. I came to the knowledge that the Lord loves me and wanted me to be a mom. He cried when I cried and was there for me when I needed him. Over time I accepted that I would be a mom through the miracle of adoption. (it is a miracle and a blessing.) I am now grateful that I am able to get my children through adoption and that we can be sealed for eternity.
Personal Stories
How has the Holy Ghost helped you?
The Holy Ghost is the great comforter. When I have been scared or alone I have felt the Holy Ghost with me. Through the Holy Ghost I have gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon, been help when I was struggling and grown spiritually.
What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?
I try to spend as much time as possible with my children and family. Spending time together and having fun builds family relationships and trust. Right now my children are young but someday they will be older I am hoping that spending time with my boys will teach them that we (my husband and I) love them and care about them. Then when they are older and struggling with things they will come to us so we can help.
How I live my faith
I am very active in my church community. Right now I have been called to work with the children. I help to organize them into group so they can be taught. I work with the teacher of the children to help them teach better. I think that my teaching back ground has been a great blessing to I can help teach the kids as much about the gospel as possible. I love working with the kids and seeing the light in their eyes. It always amazes me to see the simple faith of a child.
I also have helped to organize and teach the women in the ward, and the teenage girls. I feel my testamony grow with each group I have been blessed to work with. I try to live my faith my example and service.
