Jacob: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Jacob

And I'm a 6th Generation Mormon

About Me

I teach Yoga, play Beach Volleyball, work as a Fine Dining Waiter and am a Professional Actor.

My wife and I have been married for 5 years; we are looking forward to having children soon.

Our kid's will be 7th generation members of the Church. My mothers Great-Great-Great Grandfather had breakfast with The Prophet, in Joseph Smith's home, and joined the Church the following day.

Why I am a Mormon

I know it's true. I have had many personal experiences. It is so very real.

Personal Stories

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

When I was a teenager I decided to accept the miracle of forgiveness. I worked on myself, with the help of others, and found great peace of mind, personal contentment, and self esteem.

I decided to serve a mission and was not content to just believe the Joseph Smith story; I needed to know for myself.

I prayed deeply.

But, before I received my answer I learned that obedience would assure me an answer to my prayers.

I also realized, by sacred experience, that I needed this witness not just to be an honest missionary. I learned that the answer to this prayer would also validate all that is performed in Temples.

Armed with a solid "How" and a firm "Why" I walked into my very first teaching experience as a young missionary. And I realized that day that a testimony is gained in the bearing of a testimony! How wonderful our God is!

He let me walk right to the edge of the light and even a step into the darkness. And then, in a powerful way: He illuminated the room, those who heard my message, my companion, and yes--me too!

In 4 short years I went from belief to knowledge. That's how it works, one correct choice at a time. I have continued to make right choices over the last 20 years, repenting quickly when I have failed--and have grown increasingly closer to God.

As I look back I see now that these choices came as a result of following the Prophets. The President of The Church, and those who support him in his ministry, have the true message, and will lead us towards happiness here and in the eternities.

That's really what it's all about; joy. Making right choices brings joy. Making wrong choices has never brought joy; never will.

Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.

Jesus Christ established Christianity; Joseph Smith restored it.

I know that Christ is my Savior.

I know this because of the miracle of forgiveness and by the simple everyday application of faith in Christ and His Atonement.

I have personally received a special witness from God regarding the mission of Joseph Smith.

This sacred experience came by the same Spirit, and by a similar emotional response, as my witness of The Savior.

I don't just believe in The Gosple of Jesus Christ; I believe in The Gosple of Jesus Christ as restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith.

I don't just believe it; I know it.

God has told me personally, it's real.

How I live my faith

In the Gap.

There's a gap between stimulus and response, and what we do in that gap is who we are.

Life is also full of significant moments, going to Church every week could be considered one of these significant things. But, in reality: there are no insignificant moments.

I believe that it's actually what we do in-between these events that is the most important.
