Mara: Mormon.

Hi I'm Mara

About Me

I'm finishing up grad school. I had a hard time finding a job recently so I decided to start my own business. I am trying to get things going with my new online business and keep learning and progressing as a person. I love to play the guitar and sing, and I love traveling and getting to know new cultures and taking photos of the places and people I visit.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I am grateful that my parents taught me to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ from when I was a young child. As I grew up I decided to continue to follow the teachings and lifestyle I had when I was young. My life is full of blessings and I think my membership in the Church has a lot to do with that.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Jesus Christ made it possible for all of us to be happy if we follow Him. I have enjoyed many blessings because of my knowledge of the teachings of Jesus Christ and because of my membership in His church. When you experience blessings in your own life, it's natural to want to share them with others. I went on a mission so that I could invite others to partake of the same blessings that I have enjoyed in my life. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and I would love for other people to experience the comfort and happiness I feel.

How I live my faith

I look forward to attending church every Sunday. I feel the importance of the ritual when we take bread and water to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. This faith helps me to live a better life every day, not just on Sundays. I appreciate the strength and support I get from my friends. I like to get together with other women from the church. I also serve in the Salt Lake Temple on a weekly basis and I think it's a privilege to be there.
