Marni: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Marni

I'm Canadian, I'm married and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my husband for almost two years and we are now looking forward to welcoming our first child this August. We are both very busy but we are loving our life!

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to know that this is the true Church on earth today and that it is being led by a prophet who is called of God, President Thomas S. Monson. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He died for me so that I can repent and someday return to live with Him and my Father in Heaven. I have such a strong testimony of the temples and the work that goes on there. I know that it is important for us to go and continue to go so that we can continue to progress. I love this Gospel and love the blessings that I have received and continue to receive from living it to the best of my ability.

Personal Stories

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

I have had many experiences where my prayers have been answered, but the most recent experience that I can think of right now is I had gone to visit the grave of my best friend that had passed away and I didn't know where the gravesite was since I had never been there before. So after driving around for awhile, I sent a text to a friend of mine because I figured she would know and then I also said a prayer for help in finding the grave or having my friend text me back. A few minutes later, I was able to find the gravesite and by the time I got home an hour later, I received a text back from my friend. I know that my prayers are answered, even for the simplest things. My Heavenly Father knows what is important to me and helps me when I need His help.

How I live my faith

Since the time I was 14 I have served in various callings in the Church. Until I was 18 I served in different youth callings and then when I turned 18 I was called to be the Nursery leader. I absolutely loved this calling.
I then moved to the Young Adult ward and was blessed to have other callings that have challenged and blessed me in my life.
Now that I am married I am again being blessed with callings to challenge me. I currently am a Cub leader and get to work with my mom who is the Akela. I also am a Seminary teacher, which for those that don't know, it is a early morning scripture study class for youth ages 14-18.
Over the years I have become more open about being a member of the Church then when I was in high school and I feel that it has helped prepare me for times when I am asked about the Church and what I believe in.
