Hi, I'm Bevan
I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a Dad, a Husband and a Nurse Practitioner. I work occasionally as a nursing instructor. I like to cook with my wife and kids.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because I have a deep conviction that Jesus died for my sins. When I serve others and do things that strengthen my family, I have a feeling of peace and well-being that comes from the Holy Ghost. I have this same feeling when I worship and serve in the church.
Personal Stories
How has attending Church services helped you?
Attending Church services helps me to focus on the Savior and to feel the influence of the Holy Ghost. It allows me to see and worship with other people who have the same convictions that I do. There is a sense of family in our church services that helps me feel loved and cared for. People with whom I attend church services are the first people I contact when my own family is in difficult circumstances.
How I live my faith
I try to apply the gospel of Jesus Christ to my work and family life. I try to treat patients based upon the understanding that they are children of Our Father in Heaven and that each person has a divine destiny. I serve in the church by teaching lessons on Sunday and visiting and helping mature men and their families. I am humbled because most of these guys have much more life experience and wisdom than I do.
