About Me

I was born and rasied in Arizona. There i grew up and was very active in my comunity and my school. I swam and wrestled in highschool. Wrestling is a great way that i have been able to conect with the prophet Joesph Smith because he was a great wrestler. Knowing that he went though so much more than i could ever go though helps and pushes me to be a better person. I love to be in and around water and what better way to spend other free time running.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised up in the chucrch of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. However I went though my on conversion. When I was a 16 I went to and expesaly for youth camp ( a religous lds camp for teens). In one of the classes the teacher talked about the Book of Mormon and how it was the key stone of the chucrch of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, and if we did not know it was true we had not started our conversion. I decied that summer to read the book of mormon and to find out if it was true. After i had read the book of mormon that summer i prayed and asked God if the Book of Mormon was true. i reviced my anwers that it is true and that the man who translated it is a prophet of God. My conversion and testimony continue to grow as i study the Bible and the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I go to church every sunday. Even when i am away from the normal ward (ward is like congergation) I atend, but I still atend an LDS church becasue it is such a highlight of the week and a spirtual timefor me.
I also study the scriptuers and pray daily. Doing these things help build my testimony stronger and stronger.

I am also a missionary. where for 24/7 for the next to years I go around to the people of Minnesota and tell them about the goespel of Jesus Chirst, how it has blessed my life and how it can bless their life.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing is a marvelous thing. In the scriptures it is a commandment that we pay a tithe and also a huge blessing that we are able to pay tithing. Tithing goes to the building of churches, temples, and other religouis buildings. The tithing that members of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints pay does not go to the clergy at all. the people who help lead the church are not payed.

Tithing is paid in faith. I know these funds will not be misused. I pay tithing because it is a commandment, and because I love God and want to give Him back a small porion of what He has given me, to futher build up His church. These funds go to build and maintain church buildings and temples and other like expenses. Our clergy is not paid. There is no collection plate. We simply pay our tithing, our fast offerings, we share what we have gladly. This is God's way. For this is God's church.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is just like being anyone else. We eat, sleep, go to work, vote, date, marry, etc. There are, of course, things that we don't do such as drink or smoke, see explicit films or pictures, but I think that helps us become better people. By avoiding temptations we're able to live happier, fuller lives while still enjoying those things that God put us on Earth to enjoy. We were placed on this Earth to be happy and, for me, that's what being a Mormon is like-being happy.
