I am a business professional, ECM Proposal Manager, I am a son, dad, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. I like to ski, drive my truck anywhere.

Why I am a Mormon

After a long and serious search, I found validation to what I believe is true. I live the gospel, as best I can, and I recieve constant blessings. I cannot deny what I live and see every week. Building a testimony is not an easy chore, it requires living and experiencing the principles and see for myself that Jesus is my savior.

How I live my faith

I am a member of the Bishopric, this is a calling of unpaid service to our ward members. Whether its giving a blessing or assigning a talk to someone, I do my best to support, encourage and share value in all I do. My prayers are private, but they are constant. I am thankful and grateful for all I have and all I can contribute.

What do Mormons believe about family?

The family is central to our Heavenly Father and therefore it is central to us as members. The best of what I am is in my family. I am here because my mom and dad married and had a family. They were children of their parents. I did not arrive here alone, I am the product of my family. I will not leave alone, I will be welcomed by family that has passed on before me.

The family is a key component to support us in God's plan for gaining immortality and eternal life. All of God's children (all the inhabitants that lived, are living, and will live on Earth) are inseperably connected to each other, both (physically) by our Earthly families and (spiritually) by our Heavenly Father.

Families help us to understand our divine heritage. In this, life takes on purpose and meaning. Our immortal spirits were created by our Heavenly Father before Earthly existance, and we are directly connected to Him in this way. As a spiritual family, our collective purpose on Earth is to follow the commandments of God that lead us to live in heaven with Him again.

Our spirits need to progress, learn, and grow. In order to achieve that, Earthly existance was created as our test. Our Heavenly Father knew that being exposed to opposing forces on Earth was the only way for us to gain knowledge and wisdom.

However, we will not always choose righteousness, and so our Savior, Jesus Christ, is that great mediator to pay the debt of our mistakes. He is the only way by which we can be saved from our sins and transgressions. He is the ultimate example by which direction we need to live our lives. With the support of our earthly kin, we can learn from each other, serve each other, and strengthen our mortal weaknesses by being disciples of Christ. Our families are a gift from God, and we can be together forever.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Only some Mormons are allowed to go into temples because of the sacredness of the temples. Those who are living worthily and honestly are allowed to enter the temple. The temple is the "House of the Lord" and we esteem it with such respect that we make sure those who are in the temple are worthy to participate. We don't talk about the specifics of the temple because they are so sacred and we want to keep it that way. In the temple we can be bound as eternal families, learn more about our purpose here on earth, and baptize those who did not get the opportunity while they were living. It is a place where we would love everyone one day to be worthy to enter.
