Allison : Mormon.

Hi, I'm Allison

I love to spend time with my family. I hope to be with them forever. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a stay at home mom with two children. My husband and I met in college and have been married for almost six years now. Before having children I was a high school Theatre teacher, and I still love being involved in drama productions whenever I can on a volunteer basis. I love to run and I have completed two marathons with my sisters and am training for a third. I also love to bake and cook, as well as do crafts and home improvement projects. I am in charge of the music time for the children at church and I love teaching them to sing songs and learn about the Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church, so I can't ever remember a time not having a testimony of Jesus Christ. But I am a member of the Church now as an adult, and choosing to raise my own children in the gospel because I have seen that following the commandments and teachings found in the scriptures leads to happiness. For me, the Church and the gospel are all about families and how we can love each other more fully and live better lives.

How I live my faith

Every day I read the words of the prophets in the scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father, individually and with my husband and children. Each week my family spends Monday night together learning the gospel, singing uplifting songs, doing wholesome activities and enjoying homemade treats. This time we share together means the world to me, and is a program encouraged by our church leaders to help us raise strong, loving families. Each Sunday our family attends church where we worship with friends and neighbors, fulfill assignments I do singing time with the children, and my husband teaches the young men, and feel the love of the Lord. Each month I have been assigned to visit with and teach three other women in my area. This system ensures that no one is without a friend to rely on or a shoulder to cry on when needed. These women have become some of my closest friends and I serve and teach them. My husband and I regularly go to the Temple nearest us to worship and to spend quality time together we might not mange to fit into our busy schedules otherwise. These actions I take make me who I am, and I love living the gospel.
