About Me

I'm a freshmen in college studying Nursing. I love people and kids. I smile and laugh a lot. I'm not a very serious person and enjoy spending time with friends and just having a good time. My family is a huge part of my life and I am very close to them. I LOVE babysitting, the beach & being warm, sunsets, star gazing, jumping in puddles, and dancing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know with all my heart, mind, and soul that this is the true church of Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon was inspired by God to help us in these latter days return to him after we pass on.

How I live my faith

I'm in charge of planning activities for a group of ten or so other freshmen called our "home evening group." We get together on Monday nights and just spend time together, doing fun activities such as community service, seeing a movie, and bowling.

I also visit teach a couple of girls my age. Basically I just go and check up on them to make sure they're doing okay and give them a little spiritual message.

God through out the ages has spoken to His children through living prophets. We have a prophet today, named Thomas S. Monson. He is a prophet just like Moses, Abraham or Peter. My wife and I, were blessed to be personally called by President Monson to serve a mission. For 2 hours we sat in his office as he taught us. We felt his spirit and his love. I know that he is a prophet. This is the Savior’s church and He leads this church just as he did anciently through a living prophet. As we follow President Monson’s teaching and example we will be blessed to draw nearer to the Savior.

I love this question. Having lived in Georgia and having spent time creating friendships with people of all different Christian denominations. I can say with great confidence and vigor that, Yes, Mormons are Christians. All who believe in Christ as our Savior and strive to follow in his footsteps, living as he would have us to, are in definitions Christian or followers of Christ.
