About Me

I have been a member of the church my whole life. I was born in Idaho but grew up mostly in Southern California.I have 3 wonderful children and an amazing wife. I work in sales for a small data security company. In my free time I love spending time with my family or going hiking and fishing. I also enjoy the opportunity to serve in the church and work with some incredible people that have touch my life for good.

Why I am a Mormon

Through study and prayer the spirit has confirmed to me that this is the true church. Nothing has helped me more through tough times than being a member of the Church.

How I live my faith

I try to make the best choices I can. I enjoy serving in the Church. I strive everyday to be better than I was the day before.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We believe that the Bible is the word of God, given through his Apostles and Prophets in the days of old. Through generations the bible has been translated time and time again, and now it stands with some of the simple truths of Christs teachings being either removed or complicated. That is why there are so many different views on what the scriptures teach, and so many churchs created for those views. We believe that God has restored those simple truths and clarified the complicated view through the Book of Mormon which is a record of the ancient inhabitants of the Americas.

As a convert I was concerned that the bible was replaced by the Book of Mormon. How far from the truth that concern was, as the Bible is the LDS primary teaching tool and the Book of Mormon is simply another testament of Jesus Christ and serves to verify the truths found in the Bible. Cerrtainly the Bible is Holy Scripture and the Word of God, as is the Book of Mormon. I have come to love the Book of Mormon and cross-reference the Bible and Book of Mormon finding the same truths in both volumes of scripture.

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Since I do not think legislation will ever be enacted against it, we will have to stop it one person at a time. I think the key to this is placing the proper barriers between your life and the damning influence of pornography. That means staying away from unwholesome places, and putting the proper protections on your electronic devices. It also means controlling your thoughts.
