Nick: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Nick

I study. I run. I laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a college student, I spend most of my days on campus, pouring over piles of mathematics textbooks and conducting economic research studies. To take breaks from the library, I run with my wife in the brisk mountain air that surrounds our home. Two desires impel me forward--a profession in tax law and fatherhood.

Why I am a Mormon

I have read the Book of Mormon and the Bible multiple times. By so doing and praying to my Father in Heaven, I have gained a divine witness that these scriptures contain the Lord's word and will for me. Furthermore, as I have followed the counsel of living prophets--to spend more time with my family, to deal honestly with my fellow men, etc.--I have enjoyed much greater peace and happiness. Hence I am a Mormon.

Personal Stories

Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.

I know that he is a prophet of God because I have read the Book of Mormon. That book is veritable proof that the Lord called Joseph Smith to teach of Christ and lead His Church on the earth.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

They go to invite others to come unto Christ and help them receive His restored gospel through faith on Jesus Christ and His atonement.

How I live my faith

Everyday, I read the scriptures and pray with my wife. We spend each Monday evening together, either visiting a museum, cooking someone a meal, or taking a walk. After church meetings on Sundays, I regularly visit two families in the area to teach them a short lesson, assist them in any way possible, and do what I can to strengthen their faith in Christ.
In my daily work as a research assistance, I compose academic papers regarding the importance of the family unit in society. My co-workers and I analyze demographic trends and their impacts on children. We strive to empirically validate the value of the traditional family structure and thus persuade law-makers to preserve it.
When the opportunity arises, as it often does near a college campus, I help my neighbors move and clean their homes. I render service as I am able.
Each moment, I follow Christ.
