Hi, I'm Lesa
I'm a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, exhausted and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
Let's see to talk about myself is a little strange because right now my world revolves around my husbands residency in General Surgery and my four little girls. I love being a wife and mother and it truly is the joy of my life.
In my free time when I have it I love to paint, read and go out to eat with friends. I love gardening, i have recently started piano. I love to learn new things, crafting, cooking, history, just about everything that would improve or inspire me in my life.
Why I am a Mormon
I am asked this question frequently. They always say so your parents were members and you were baptized when you were eight so that is why but really that is just the beginning.
I think their comes a time in everyones life when they search to find the meaning of life and what their role is in this existence.
Being a Mormon has answered all my questions about where I was before this life, why I am here and where am I going.
It comes down to prayer. Every time I pray to find out if this is the True church my heart if filled with peace and understanding. I can see how this gospel has blessed my life and how the council of the Prophets in our days have changed my path to better futures.
Personal Stories
Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?
I share my feelings and love I have about the gospel with my friends because I want them to be as happy as me! Life is hard with many ups and downs not having the gospel in my life would make everything harder, Like pushing a rock up a hill not knowing why you do it. The gospel helps you see that on the other side of the mountain there is a dam breaking and this rock is exactly what is needed to secure the dam. Without this knowledge it would be easy to give up but when you know what's waiting you can hold on.
How I live my faith
I live my life one day at a time! Today was ok, tomorrow will be better. baby steps to help me reach my goal of Eternal life with My Family. Being a Mormon helps me be a better wife and mother. When you are a women in the Mormon church you are in the worlds largest women's organizations The Relief Society.
I love this organization. Right now I am the president of the Relief Society in my congregation we call it a ward Being called at 35 with young children I wasn't sure how I could help these wonderful women in reaching their divine natures of daughters of god. But as I serve I am sustained and uplifted. I love serving and helping these women. I think they are helping me more than I help them.
Growing up with 3 brothers no sisters and having my mom pass away before I was married it has helped me so much to have these "Sisters" in my life. I can ask them for help in everything from how to potty train to what is the best way to get candle wax off your couch. I have never felt alone because I am surrounded by wonderful amazing ladies that are full of experience that I get the privilege of serving.
